Child Dedication

We believe that it is a joy and a privilege for each parent to lead their child into a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Child Dedication at Verve City Church gives parents the opportunity to publicly make a promise to God that they will train their child in His ways, and our congregation offers its prayerful support of each family who participates. 

It is important for parents to understand that child dedication is not a sacrament; it does not impart grace or salvation to a child. Salvation comes through belief in Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior. Dedication, however, represents parents’ recognition of a solemn responsibility and desire to raise their child in such a way that the child develops a personal faith and relationship with Jesus.

Traditionally, we suggest that Child Dedication be reserved for infants—2nd grade children and their parents.
